Late Notice

So, this post is a little later than a month. My bad! But to explain how busy I have been is like explaining how the pyramids were built. So here we go:

There has been a lot of chapter meetings, leadership council meetings, new member meetings, jr greek meetings, and officer council meetings. Aside from those activities:

3/6 - I got to take the new member to Rock Chalk Revue (a series of skits put on by KU's greek community). I also learned what a "dad bod" was during this time. You could say it was useful knowledge.

3/9 I got hired onto to work at Lawrence Memorial Hospital as a Guest Service Representative. Girl gotta make some money!

3/11 Met with my new neurologist. Going throwing some medical testing, initial diagnoses is a "functional disorder". And recieving treatment for that. Also had my math midterm- that went awful.

3/12 Got the flu from the flu shot. SHWEET!

3/13 Made it home to LBG. Did my laundry rapidly. Packed for CO.

3/14 Embarked on the 12 hour journey to beautiful CO with Chandler, his family and his friends. We even got a chance to catch the end of the KU game in the car.

3/15 First day of skiing! Ski school was awesome - they let me graduate! Then I tried to go down the mountain, I think it may have been fun(ny) for those around me, it was very stressful for myself. But with John and Gina's help I made it down the mountain. And I got a blistering face sunburn - who would have thought? A sunburn in the snowy mountains.

3/16 Went skiing with "the moms" & Clayton. I got better.

3/21 Returned home from CO. Did a lot of laundry.

3/22 Finished laundry. And came back to LFK.

3/24 My first day at the hospital! Worked from 7am to 1 pm. Now a working girl.

Also got to meet the Provost of the University of Kansas. It was a great experience and he shared a breath of knowledge with the students at the outting.

3/25 Got the chance to support my favorite philanthropy in the world - St. Jude - at a Buffalo Wild Wing percentage night. Wings and helpin' kids, could it get any better?

3/26 Went to listen to a campus speaker talking about the drinking culture at KU and how we go about fixing the issue within it. It interesting and intuitive.

3/28 First 12.5 hour day at work. Walked 8.5 miles. And served over 30 patients. My total hours this week was 31... Busy kid.

3/31 Present my Capstone Project at the FLC meeting. I got to share my experience and what I learned from FLC and to any high school senior reading this, it's a great program to get involved with. There is q lot to learn about leadership and yourself in leadership roles as well as about yourself as person.

4/2 Delta Delta Delta welcomed the recruits from Spring 2015 into the sisterhood!

Now that we are all caught up - time to catch some sleep so I can get ready for the adventures that lie ahead for this month!

Love you,

Maddi
